Used this to make ice cream for 5 kids plus 2 adults! Only took about 30 minutes for the ice cream to be ready. I used vanilla ice cream recipe from the book. The kids said it was the best I’ve cream they ever had before they knew I made the ice cream from scratch! The mix ins part is a bit messy as it really shoots out but I think that probably adds to the fun for the kids lol. I expected the bowl to thaw out much faster than it actually did. We had a great maiden voyage with this little machine!

Lots of fun to make soft ice cream but there is a learning curve to how rich you want your ice cream. Tried the given recipe for chocolate and it turned out way too heavy and rich. Will modify the recipe until I get it just right for me by decreasing the heavy cream or blending with whole milk. No matter what, it’s a blast to use. Love the hidden cone holder. Nice touch!

Love the look & the handle to make an ice cream cone! However - it can only make enough to serve maybe 3-4 people & if you let the machine keep going (to try to add more ingredients to make more ice cream) the top pops off all the time! So it’s a bit frustrating & too difficult to use for any more than 2-3 people. Also the first plop of ice cream is always liquid due to the plastic opening melting the ice cream…I have the drum style cuisinart & will go back to using that exclusively. This machine is a start cuisunart - but needs some improving!

Cuisinart soft serve ice cream maker works very well. Easy to make and easy to store in freezer and dish out later. Frozen yogurt with little cream and milk does not serve up well later after storing left overs in the freezer. Also, recommendations are needed on what yogurt ought to be used. Frozen yogurt tasted tart, which is not very good when compared to ice cream.

I received it for a gift in February 2023 ,but I have not use it, it takes cup boards space and I am the only one that loves Low fat ice cream, I have not found a recipe for low fat ice cream. It might be fun if you have a family with small children.
