Great treat fun

I also really appreciated that the recipes included drinks and dairy-free recipes for different uses I hadn't thought of.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Mix It In Soft Serve Ice Cream Maker by Cuisinart ICE-48 for free from Home Tester Club in exchange for my honest review. I was very excited about the opportunity to test this ice cream maker because of how nice it looked and I love soft serve ice cream. I didn't have to wait very long at all because it was delivered to me two days later which is great. The instruction and recipe booklet was very helpful and made putting this thing together a breeze. I was expecting it to take up quite a bit of counter space but turns out it doesn't take much counter space at all since it is built tall rather than wide. On one side of the unit you have three topping containers if you want to add nuts, sprinkles, etc and there's also a cone holder. I used the vanilla ice cream recipe from the booklet and it turned out so good! The taste and texture were both perfect and only took about 25 minutes to make a total of 5 cups. Clean up was fairly easy too.

Fun but messy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a super fun machine that with a few tweaks, would be perfect! It’s lightweight & easy to assemble, store, & move around. Making the ice cream did come w/ a big learning curve. The first few times the machine wouldn’t dispense the product because it was too hard. It’s difficult to time when everything is at the best consistency, but you get a feel for it eventually, even though the optimal window is pretty quick. While you can just scoop the ice cream out if you do over-churn it, it’s not easy. You either leave the frozen bowl in the top of the machine, making it awkward to scoop, or you take the bowl out. However, there is a hole in the bottom, so it just melts on the countertop & makes a mess. I wish there was a stopper you could put in to prevent this from happening. The handle can also be difficult to open & close, especially one handed. I would like something more aesthetically pleasing (& functional) like a metal handle w/ smoother motion. When it all works, it’s great!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The kids love this product. This ice cream maker gives me a lot of control of what can be added. It is a fun product for the entire family to enjoy. It is bulky on the countertop but other than that, the product is unique and amazing.

Great for healthy homemade ice cream

It is easy to mix up with any recipes I can imagine. And the best part is that I can control what ingredients are going in it. I have made several recipes with many fruit flavors. It was simply delicious, the texture was creamy and smooth. Now my family can enjoy yummy homemade ice cream every week.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of this ice cream maker is unbelievably superb! The ease of making soft serve ice cream is amazing! I not only made soft serve but I made sorbet, as well. The instructions were easy to understand and simple to follow. The condiment dispensers worked easily and are a great addition to the ice cream maker. There is also a cone holder! The ice cream turned out just perfect! It’s easy to clean. The design is beautiful and will match with any kitchen decor. A few recipes were included with the instructions! The freezer bowl is double insulated that holds 1.5 quarts of ice cream. This machine would be a hit at a kids birthday party. I’m so pleased with this ice cream maker!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a great ice cream machine that is fun for all! While the kids loved the mix ins with their ice cream, the grown ups really enjoyed the soft service ice cream. This is very easy to use and makes just the right amount of ice cream.
