For the most part this is a great product. It would have been nice if it had a timer or alarm to let you know when the ice cream is ready. Mine froze to the point that the ice cream would not come out.

We just purchased this yesterday and am excited to start making homemade ice cream and slushies. But I did not find the recipe book in the box. I found my warranty card but I have downloaded the recipes and love the coffee ice cream recipe.

Works great - clean up and reset is a bit much

I've used it twice now and the clean up afterwards is a bit annoying because you have to pull several pieces for washing and wait for the main compartment to melt all the way before cleaning and putting back in the freezer. There is no cooling/freezing mechanism, you just have to freeze the inside piece overnight and then put whatever you want in it and turn on the machine to stir it until it is the right consistency. So you cannot do like a frozen margarita mix and then make ice cream right after, 1 item per day basically.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

What a fun addition to my kitchen! It is easy and quick to make our own delicious, soft-serve ice cream. Easy cleaning, too. Of course, the kids absolutely love it and were more excited about getting this than their toys at Christmas.
