This is my first Rice Cooker and I like it. It took me couple tries to learn how to use it properly. I have to put less water because if I don't the rice will become too mushy and yes I'm using the measurement cup it gives for the rice. I'm using tamaki gold rice.

Size listing is extremely confusing and the cooker is substantially smaller than we expected. Otherwise works fine.

Hi there! We are sorry to hear that the size was a bit confusing. The sizes are listed by the max amount of white rice each size is able to cook. The small rice cooker can cook up to 3 cups of white rice which will usually roughly doubles in volume once cooked. Does the job at a great price, easy to use. If you do not need all the bells and whistles of the more complex cookers that Zojirushi makes ( we have owned two of those), then this rice cooker is a great buy. Definitely recommend.
