Something is afoul in River City.

I have used TurboTax Business for a Trust for many years.
There is a problem I have every year because of a fallacy.
I have mineral rights in a county and I receive royalties.
I get paid from different companies for the royalties.
The companies have a Tax ID number.
The TurboTax program wants to put my Tax ID on various forms as
the Tax ID of the different companies. Something is amiss.

THE CHANGES TO THE TAX PROGRAMS ARE A TOTAL DISGRACE. IT IS HARD TO FIND AREAS THAT WERE EASY TO FIND IN THE PREVIOUS YEARS. THE OLD SAYING 'IF IT AIN'T BROKE, DON'T FIX IT. YOU HAVE TO GO ALL OVER THE PROGRAM TO FIND THE AREA TO COMPLETE THE RETURNS AND THEN YOU HAVE THESE STUPID OPTIONS TO POP UP WITH VARIOUS CHOICES. IT WAS HARD TO FOLLOW THE PATH.

TurboTax for Trusts has improved for tax year 2024

TurboTax for Trusts (Form 1041) is improved this year. The process for computing the distribution deduction is now seamless, as long as all of the net income is distributed to beneficiaries. This has been a major complaint of mine in the past. This software would be even better if it offered electronic downloads of Form 1099s from brokerages, as is available with TurboTax Form 1040 software.

TurboTax Business only works with Desktop - BEWARE

TurboTax Business ONLY works with Desktop and not Online which is very inconvenient. Should be available to interface with all Intuit products, otherwise this would be (5) stars.
