TT for trusts has some glitches

Most of the software is super easy to use. However, when I finished error checking, and then I filed the 1041, I tried to print/distribute K-1s and it said I need shareholder information. Apparently, I had selected the wrong trust type (grantor vs simple vs complex). Nowhere was this guidance provided before filing and attempting to distribute K-1s. I also called TT support three times before I received an answer why I was receiving this K-1 message (which was not discovered in the error checking process either). I also encountered problems trying to access deduction entry forms after I had nearly completed the return so I could edit an entry, a glitch also witnessed by one or two of the support people I called.

After years of great work this years products have really been frustrating......download state tax loops, filaure on personal returns (so far) to load....this has been absolute MISERY. Seems next year, I need to review and investigate alternatives....very disappointed to date.

Still need to do some program improvements

Been using TT Business for a couple of years now. Biggest disappointment is when the program asks me if I need to submit other forms? I'm paying you a good deal of money - you should be telling me whether I need to fill out those forms.
Those areas where the program pulls up an IRS page and wants me to input data directly - again, why isn't TT helping me. I should never have to put any information directly onto a government form.
When I experience these issues (which took me over an hour to research and answer - note it only took me 2 hours to do my taxes) - I begin to think that maybe I can save a few dollars and just do the whole thing on my own. (To be honest, if it wasn't for the K1 forms - I would not be using TT Business any more.)

Needs Better Explanations for Distributions

Needs more clarity for those using the business version only for the K-1 form as a benificiary. A lot of wasted time spent trying to figure out the amount to show being distributed when it's clear there is no separate estate or entity to receive the gains.
