Meh!

I am an experienced tax preparer who has been using turbo tax business for a long time. The product was easy to use, but I found the purchase so cumbersome that I ended up purchasing the federal version twice and I still cannot figure out how to get reimbursed for the second purchase. The product is too much of a black box and it is difficult to check for errors. You have to start all over again to check for input errors.

Turbo Tax gets the job Done!

I did run into a few issues, The tip about NOL Carryovers indicating that Form IRC 172(b)(3) should be filed sent me on a wild goose chase. There is no "Other Forms You might need" location on Turbo Tax for Business Desktop version. And apparently, the form is not needed. The other thing that I didn't realize is that I would have scan, upload and sign form 8453 before I could e-file. But I must say when I called for help, I got a quick response...no long waits at all. But please clean up that NOL time waster.

Turbo Tax Let Us Down

I am beyond frustrated with Turbo Tax. We had to file for our LLC, a C-Corporation and our personal taxes. When I went through the online tutorial it said we needed the desktop version for all three. I had to amend our personal return, purchase the business instance of the desktop version. It was a completely different experience than i am used to with Turbo Tax. I don't understand why there isn't a better experience for C-Corps.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments

Need to incorporate AI into the search

First year LLC I augmented your software with Chat GPT and to be honest I found the AI much easier to work with on specific questions. It was like having a tax accountant next to you helping with the filing. you might want to add this to the software especially for a small LLC paying $190 federal plus $55 state when I could just use the forms and AI and save these costs.

Glitch on filing an amended return

I wasn't able to find my amended return; it said my state return was not completed. A state return is not required as per the program. I had no issues e-filing the original return.
also, I completed an explanation for the amendment with columns, etc. That form did not print or appear to be included in the return.
