TT Business edition 2025 errors and difficulties
on April 14, 2026

The TT business SW has several errors. I wasted my time trying to fix them and call your help line. Example. it thought I was missing a date on a worksheet but I opened and found the work sheet and the date was indeed in there. TT Business edition was not happy with that so I added another date to the random line it though needed a date and then it let me move on. Also I made an estimated payment on a date later than the IRS wanted, so I correctly per instructions added that date to the "actual payment date" column, however TT would not let me get past this until I put in the same date as it was due. This is incorrect and I am sure the IRS will catch this error in a few weeks and give me a small fee. TT offered but does not explain Form 1041-T and in all my web searches on the IRS and elsewhere I coud not determine if it was to my Beneficiary's advantage. TT should explain the tax consequences to the beneficiary, not just the Trust. TT business still does NOT allow us to download our 1099-DIV and 1099-INT etc.!! Crazy why would I continue to use TT Business, this is at the very minimum something we should be able to do. It works fine on our TT Deluxe version for personal Taxes. This goes on with more examples but I can't imagine you will make the changes so I won't bother. Honest ly thinking of switching back to my old SW or going pencil and paper.

No State Support for NC or SC
on April 14, 2026

I have used turbotax business for years for my trust tax return. I reside in California and have been happy with the product. In 2025 we exchanged (1031) into some income producing properties in North Carolina and South Carolina. I figured taxes would be straightforward since turbotax supports state filings as well. So I was very surprised to find that TurboTax Business does not support preparing or filing state returns for North Carolina or South Carolina. I was shocked. I had to prepare those returns by hand and mail them. As you can guess I was extremely frustrated. Please get support for NC and SC for 2026. I use TurboTax Business for this trust and TurboTax Premier for three other returns and will be forced to look for a new tax software if I have to continue to file state returns manually due to lack of support from Intuit TurboTax.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax for Business told me that I had reached my e-file limit of 5 federal returns after I had filed 2 federal returns and no state returns.
