This software has always been so so. Find myself constantly having to switch to form mode to see what it is doing. When review investment income, it keeps switching what column foreign taxes are in which causes issues. E-filing was a real pain. First had to figure out that was an issue with CA so needed to unclick so could e-file federal (message 54 was completely unhelpful). Then when just about to give up saw a post that CA was finally able to be filed.

TurboTax is good, but has issues.

I needed to amend my Federal and Virginia returns for a trust. TurboTax would not file the amended returns electronically. So I had to print and mail the paper returns.
Also, when TurboTax reviewed the state return it questioned the Tax ID and Trust Name 4 times, even though they had come over from the Federal return.

Business Desktop efile error 54

The 1041 would not efile for 48 hours, numerous tries. Error 54 kept showing up. No issues with security, checked updates. The help tax area recommended removing the attachment 8453. There was no suggestion or work-around in turbo tax. I finally removed the attachment and re-added it. It went through today. Is this a bug in the desktop Business program?

A Sound Business Tax Return Software Solution

It was generally a good experience. I found that this version of Turbotax was quote walk me through end then perhaps. There were a lot of times where it had me do the Mini where I could see the actual IRS form in a small window and I had to scroll through and it was mildly confusing. Overall, I was able to electronically file my taxes, which my chief concern and I'm grateful for the help of Turbotax. Thank you.

Desktop Business for Complex Trusts (5 of them). There's an error in Distribution %s. It's screen gets stuck & won't advance. I have to close the program and open in another page, then spring past this section.

TurboTax continues to up its game, making both personal, LLC and Trust filings intuitive and straight forward. It is easy to review subject matter on any given topic, and get answers easily. It provides accurate, reviewable documents, and is easy to review as you go, including what-if scenarios for future tax planning.
