We love hearing that the process felt effortless for you. Taxes are complicated enough, so we’ve designed our interface to take the guesswork out of every step.

Turbo tax is quite good, but somewhat hard to use.

It is too hard to find what needs to go where while you are entering data. Also, support is very hard to use - if you are not having one of the problems in the list, you're out of luck.

An alternative to avoid paying an accountant
on March 17, 2026

from California
I understand that filling out the required information may be straightforward for professional accountants. However, when the application is used by ordinary users—those who purchase it for a simple small business and do not rely on professional services (which is precisely my situation)—I would say the program is not very intuitive. At the very least, it does not provide easy access to the tips and guidance needed when questions arise. And if such help is available, it is not easy to find.
That does not mean I was unable to complete the process—which is why I rated it three stars. In fact, I was able to finish it; I simply had to spend hours conducting independent research to do so.

TurboTax Business 2025 Transmit of CA (541) Fails
on March 17, 2026
Posted by: RobMAlso
from CA
Several hours of troubleshooting required over 48 hours because California Fiduciary (541) taxes would not transmit. Many different possible reasons cited by TurboTax and its users - all of which apparently were not applicable. Finally was able to transmit after redoing some steps in the tax forms that had been visited multiple times - the reason for success was not apparent.

Flawed Software That Needs to be Updated Sooner
on March 17, 2026

Very disappointed this year in this version of TurboTax for Business. I nedo use this for a trust to crate a K-1 for my return, and I spent literally a week's worth of time trying to figure out how to work around missed inputs on the step by step and correct misakes in the forms to get this completed. Don't understand how my use of this software was so poorly coded. On top of that, had to wait about another week to get a correction on the TurboTax side for the state's electronic filing. Trying to figure out a better option for next year.

Turbo Tax is Pretty Good

I don't remember Turbo Tax asking me about "Other amounts paid, credited, or otherwise required to be distributed" during the interview process. They only asked about income to be distributed. I caught the error during the review/fix process ...
