Turbo Tax is really grear

I had to create a bogus line item after hours of working with both the balance sheet and the income statement forms for the program because the math embedded in the program was incorrect. Then I had to pay another $55 for the state return when EVERY business is in a state. Another opportunity for Intuit to take advantage of a small business. Truly I would not recommend or use the product if I had more time.

Not so good for trusts

I used it to file a trust return. It is very difficult to use. It doesn't have the same features to input state specific tax exempt income. I had to create lots of 1099 entries to get that done manually. It doesn't handle 1099-OID. I had to add that manually in tax exempt interest. It also has conflicting information in lots of steps. It said that I would not be able to e-file, but then it did it... It didn't print the attachments that it made me create, so I hope it e-filed them!

Made it through

This version of TurboTax is not as friendly or intuitive as online versions. I wish it would give more thorough descriptions of things when you're trying to figure out if an item, purchase, etc falls under a specific category. I wish it used less tax or government jargon, or at least explained it better. The program also initially had an error. It would not let me add a partner to a partnership. The directions said to hit Add, Edit or Done, but there were no buttons on the entire screen besides Back or Done.

TurboTax 2025 sucks.

The program repeatedly required updates, even after completing the return before electronic fiing. The updates did not installed. It froze for over 30 minutes. Finally had to do a manual update which only worked a little better. Overall this was a much worse experience than in past years. Will be looking for a different product to use next year.
