Turbo Tax Business 2025

The only issue I had was figuring out why my balance sheet was out of balance. It was because the depreciation was not entered. I thought Turbo Tax would automatically enter (carry over) amount. However, I had to manually enter in order to balance.

Federal pretty good but not sure about NY state

Using Business for 10+ years to file Federal and NY state returns for a trust. Mostly things work fine and it sure beats doing it by hand. Things that need improvement are:
- some things on the NY form are left blank and you get vague instructions to find and fill in data that the program and the forms don't seem to be included EX: on IT-205 line C "amount from Form IT-205A Schedule 1, line 10, column a" but IT-205-A, although it's referenced 15 times, is not included anywhere I can find.
- other aspects of the NY state processing cause me to doubt how thoroughly it's been checked/tested.

Ease of data entry

I like the way it walks me through each of the subjects, or I can choose my own items to work on. In the end, having TTax do all the calculations is what it is all about.

Why do you force a state return if not reqd

I gave one rating because I have this company for a few years and every year the software forces me to purchase a state download and Florida does not require it to be filED!

Not impressed!

I have used the personal TT SW before, but this was the first time i used the business version. A bit disappointed that despite charging a high price, the tool was subpar. The help feature for various sections was pretty ineffective, border line useless in some cases. I expected more for the money and in this day an age of AI capability, the help section should have been close to flawless.
Pros: My employment status changed this year, I bought or sold investments
