Hard to Understand

Instructions not clear. Even the instructions to leave a review are unclear. There was no way to see an overview of the forms because everything was focused on a few lines on a worksheet which meant there were no visual clues on how one line related to the next or even how a worksheet related to the overall tax form. The AI generated topics tried to guess what my problems was and decided my problem was 'interface', so I'll give them a hint. It's support. The support is obscure.

Crappy interface and UI.

As a 35 year expert in UX web design, I have to say TurboTax's UX/UI has a horribly outdated interface and UI. Tiny screens that do not accommodate high res displays. Non-windows style file manager, e.g., saving or printing pdfs in PC. As soon as I get my AI running on my local computer, I will not buy TurboTax again, unless they fix the UI/UX. It would be way easier to automate completing all of the tax forms in PDF format via Claude.

Issues with TurboTax 2025 desktop download

It took multiple downloads and reinstalls to fix this product, which delayed ability to file and caused undue stress. The download also caused major malfunction and issues with USB drive, and made USB unusable after use. Also, the auto-purchase caused unnecessary double purchases for the same product, which could have been preventable with an inability to purchase same product and hint before duplicate purchase. I still don't know if state taxes were filed with federal

3 Major Flaws

Deducting one star for each of these:
1) Requiring Windows 11 was a shock, and it cost me to get new hardware that has it.
2) New tax laws that effect deductibles and credits was not integrated yet, and it was the filing deadline.
3) State forms didn't get the information transferred to them from the federal forms.
