Might be good if I'm not arrested this year

This is the first year that a 1041 filing with Turbotax made some sense. That said, I have multiple years of IRS rejections of the filings mostly because the software has created errors and has been totally obtuse. In the end if I was fined for some error, the fines were cheaper than the cost of having a CPA do the work. This 1041 is related to a subtrust for my granddaughter, one of three, that contains $50,000 for each and generates maybe a couple thousand dollars that I distribute to each to keep the trust at $50,000 so that we avoid federal trust taxes and drive the proceeds to their education fund. A CPA wants thousands of dollars to complete the filing and the fines are minimal, so I struggled through the years of this software and saved money versus a professional filing. This year's software, for the first time, demanded very little of my time compared to past year's struggles.BUT we shall see if the product fails to pass muster and the black helicopters show up at my door.

I had issues with my CT state tax processing for AlphaPrep that is designated a pass thru entity. I need to go directly to the state of CT to correctly calculate the allocation and PE tax credit. You software incorrectly stated that my payments to the state should be refunded

Turbotax Business Declining in Its Appeal
on February 27, 2026

Turbotax Business software continues to decline in its appeal as an easy to use tax package for tax matter reps of multi-member LLCs. The North Carolina package also appears to be getting more complicated. .Another negative is only making it available to Windows 11 users and limiting purchase options to download.

pretty easy, except it should tell you to enter the depreciaton to your books before you say asset total and if you dispose an asset and calculate loss/gain, you should give an adjusting journal entry

Turbo Tax Business needs import capability.

You should allow importation of forms (e.g. 1099-b, 1099-div, etc) in the business application like you do in other versions of your tax software.
