Turbo Tax for business gets the job done

Turbo Tax for business gets the job done. But would much prefer being able to use it on a Mac
Hopefully it is accurate. I have no issue with its features or interface. Have not had to access its support at this time.

Not impressed with the Business Edition

I use Turbo Tax because I am not an accountant, but have done my personal taxes using Turbo Tax for the past 10+ years. The Business edition is not very helpful because it seems like the user needs to know how to navigate the tax forms. Many of my numbers were not working out, and I needed to go into the forms page to override a number of entries. Someone who has never done LLC tax filings would have a hard time in using Turbo Tax. This time, I had a hard time dealing with a penalty I had to pay and rounding errors. It seemed as if everything was always off by $1. Also, last year, when I filed my LLC taxes, Turbo Tax withdrew from my account twice and sent it to the CA tax agency (Franchise Tax Board). Not sure why it did that. So, this year, I made sure that my checking account information was not on any forms and that I would manually send in a check. I would only recommend Turbo Tax Business if the business owner knew how to file taxes and use Turbo Tax as confirmation.

Turbo Tax for 1041 form has issues

This is the third year that I am not able to e-file my 1041 form because of an error that cannot be fixed. My 1099 says that the bond premium is "0", but Turbo Tax says it cannot be 0. I change the 0 to 1, but that does not fix the error. Having to mail in my return is very time-consuming.

Taxes Made Simple

Turbo Tax desktop version made it simple to file the taxes. I was easily able to navigate to the areas In which I needed to input data.

Good product. Confusion when swapping wizard/form

Product is pretty click but often times toggling between the wizard and direct form edit is misguiding and leads the user to fill in values that were accounted for in previous UI steps. The result of that can be out of balance totals, frustration, etc.

The business software has been a life-saver for filing my 1120S. Its already a large obstacle to complete the closing of our company's books in QBO and the transition to TurboTax is a game changer. Love the interview interface and ability to switch to Forms mode.

Signifacnt omission in 1041 for trusts.

There was no way to attach my 990-B forms to the federal return. That required me to mail the returns in to the government which cost additional time and money on my part vs. e-filing. This funciton MUST be fixed or i will not use th product again in 2026.
