Trouble loading NYPartnership software

I had a lot of trouble getting the New York State Partnership forms to load fo my state software. Searching on turbotax website did not help. I had to search the web to find answers and do a manual update to get the NY software to load. Then I marked the box for my transfering data from my partnership to the NY SW and I ended up manually having to input data for the IT-204 form. Not too great an experience this year.

Overall, good experience using TurboTax Business to file 1065
I wish there was an import function between TurboTax Business and Premier.

Turbo Tax was helpful

My tax return seemed to be too high and the turbo tax expert was helpful in guiding me through a way to check the return even after the self-performed error check which did not catch the problem.
Pros: My employment status changed this year

TurboTax Business States needs a lot of work

It had errors, that i knew were errors, for a few weeks until you finally fixed it. It gave me access to the forms but would not let me update the errors. Also, your state business turbotax is awful. Where the federal guidance is very good, the VA guidance is non-existent and i have to go to IRS pages to try to determine what to do.

Turbo Tax works well for filing Form1041

Turbo tax has a known software issue with a foreign beneficiary but that could also be an IRS problem so I had to mail the tax return. It would not generate a K-1 for the foreign beneficiary. I was filing a final return for the trust and had expenses greater than the income. These expenses could be passed down to the beneficiaries under IRC 67(e) but I had to find that out myself. I know it is also DIY but these different topics can be added to the software.
