Very Helpful for First Time Business Tax Filer

E-filed 1120-S; Not Sure If It Worked

Program works fine to prepare the return, but the e-filing of the 1120-S was difficult and I'm not sure what was filed. First, when I tried to e-file I was told the program needed to be updated. So, I closed the program, checked updates and was told it was up to date. Tried again and got same error message. Chat GPT said to try the manual update from TurboTax site. Downloaded that and installed it, which gave me a message it might not have installed correctly (but no reason why or how I would know). Then proceeded to e-file and it worked. Gave me a confirmation and directed me to a page where I could print my return that had been e-filed. When I did so, the only form that printed or saved to pdf was the TurboTax generated cover page that says no tax due etc. There was no 1120-S tax return. Since this is the first time I have done this, I am unsure what got filed and how I can confirm that the 1120-S was actually filed. Very frustrating.

On-line version painful, but desktop download OK

I started with the new on-line version of Business TurboTax, but it was a mess and very hard to work through. Very frustrating! I contacted help desk who was very helpful and switched me to the downloaded version I am familiar with and I then worked the product from my desktop.

TT is great...BUT

I always use TT for filing. They have made it very easy to use for non accountants. I wish the business filing can become available for MacOS, but this is all they offer. That would make this process much easier for me and I'm sure of other users.

The ability to upload data from the prior year filing and auto-check for software updates are the best features. However the interface to the state return is not as complete.
