TurboTax Business and Personal-Great programs!

I've used TurboTax Business and Personal for decades. It is a great program and keeps you on top of accurate business accounting book-keeping. Highly suggest having basic accounting courses in your arsenal so you understand how your business and tax filing sync.

Turbo Tax Mess with CA Forms for S-Corps

The US Federal Return was fine to file. The 2025 CA Form 100S was a major problem because the form was not available from the State of California until mid-February, one month in advance of the filing deadline. I could not access the form until Feb. 13, 2026. Turbo Tax claimed the CA return was filed correctly and accepted on Jan. 30, 2026. I asked their customer service team how this is possible when the CA form won't be available until mid-Feb, and they claimed it was because the data transmitted and the form's format was the only thing pending. I was able to download the CA forms I completed on Feb. 13, 2026. At this point, I have no idea if my business' CA state return was filed correctly. This software left a bad taste with me given I do not have confidence in Turbo Tax relative to the CA filing.

Glitches on Turbo Tax Business

I did engage with a online message with Turbo Tax. There was a glitch for the charitable contribution form on all of the fixes suggested did not work until today 2/13/2026 I suppose it was an update. Every year there are glitches but they get addressed and fixed in a somewhat timely basis

Could be worse

Not compatible with QuickBooks Pro 2019 for importing data. I don't need an updated QuickBooks for my business, only to appease lazy programmers at Intuit. While on that subject, the updates work about half the time, requiring manual updates. And EVERY year for several now, I keep getting forms and errors for farm income. I don't have a farm or income.
