For years. I had a CPA do my business taxes. I always waited, biting my fingernails, for him to finish. He always seemed to be done 24 hours before the deadline, and it drove me crazy. I should have purchased turbotax business years ago. You need to understand a few accounting terms, but it is less than half the cost of my accountant, and I can complete the taxes in a timely fashion, with plenty of time to review before submitting. Wish they made a version for Apple -- this is literally the only reason I startup my Windows laptop.

Program did not instruct me to enter an LLC Member that was a LLC or Trust where to enter the name when entering partners.
I had to uninstall and reinstall the program as it would not get past the update process.

IL fiduciary tax form 1041 2024

well i was on the phone for two days. Yesterday 2/10 I bought Illinois Fiduciary 1041 for my trust. It never downloaded and the guy on the phone said it was cuz the program said purchase 2/11 when I had a receipt of my purchase on 2/10. So then on 2/11 it still would not let me download the IL fiduciary form I was on with the agent for 3 hours. finally they emailed me the form to download. I would really like a refund for all my hassle. $40

Everything went fine through the federal return , but Virginia State was a nightmare regarding getting it to efile. The final stage where errors are discovered does NOT prompt with clarity to help you make the corrections. I was forced to guess. Making various changes allowed me to eventually successfully efile. I spent 4 times as much time this year on my LLC's tax preperation.

Easy with some help from the TT community

Pretty straightforward for a 2 member LLC. There was confusing wording in some areas like the 1099-NEC entry, but the community forum gave clear answers.
I wish there was a way to see the filled in forms EXACTLY as they will be filed WHILE you are working on them. The forms view is different than the final printed view so you have to go to the end of the step-by-step, save as PDF then view the PDF to see exactly how it will look when filed. Kind of a pain.

There is no option to electronically fille the 1099's. This is the reason that I purchased the program.
