My experience with this software is great until I have a question and the search area NEVER bring back the appropriate answer. That is so frustrating.

The K2 and K3 are not automatically prompted on the interview. I had to file an amended schedule as I caught the error later.

It was terrible. A lot of time was wasted, just to learn that TurboTax for Connecticut does not work. Hope I'd get my money back.

Will not e-file mn business tax return.

I paid for business state return only to get it e-filed and after completing the setup, it notified me that it would not e-file the state return!

Too many chances for non-accountants to make error

i am a retired CPA and although I did not prepare a lot of S-corp tax returns in my cpa life, I know enough to know that there are many items that seem to be inaccurate unless you know how to prepare the tax return and the software allows you to make changes. There isn't enough direction within the program to help you if issues come up. The NC state tax return (CD-401S) is not accurate (have to hand enter some Schedules - if you are even allowed to do so) and I remember having the same problems with it last year. From what I could see from other Turbo Tax users this problem has gone on for years. Please fix these errors or provide NC software at no cost.

TurboTax with QBO or QBooks Desktop

I have a small engineering consulting firm and have used TurboTax for our LLC (Form 1065) and our own filing (1040) since 1996! I like keeping up with the tax changes and TurboTax software does a great job explaining it plus it compares the previous years return amounts line-by-line. I moved from QBooks Desktop to QBO and unfortunately QBO does not transfer in TurboTax, whereas the Desktop did. That was the only drawback this year.
