Needs to interface with QB Online!
on September 13, 2025

INTERFACE: Its very frustrating to not be able to pull my tax information directly from QB online. I don't use desktop and apparently you are discontinuing it so what is the delay?
I would have given 5 stars but for this issue.

From an end-user perspective, preparing for an IRS audit or simply keeping good records is stressful and time-consuming. A helpful feature would be to provide an easy-to-use document organizer within the desktop tax filing software:
Upload & Store Proofs While Filing As users work through their return, allow them to upload supporting documents like bank statements, expense receipts, check images, credit card statements, property tax bills, insurance records, and other proofs.
Audit Package Download (ZIP) Once filing is complete, give users the ability to download everything in a single ZIP file—organized neatly into folders (e.g., blank forms, signed forms, IRS forms, uploaded proofs, notes).
Password Management Simplified Instead of relying on users to remember a unique 4-digit password each year, provide a secure way to store or export the password alongside their download package for future reference.
Custom Notes & References Let users add personal notes, URLs, and reminders during the filing process, which get saved in the same package.
Any File Format Support Support uploads in common formats (PDF, JPG, PNG, DOCX, XLSX, TXT, etc.) so users don’t waste time converting documents.
Any URLs with your discounted program for next year etc. End Result: The user walks away with one organized, audit-ready ZIP file containing everything they need—forms, supporting docs, and personal notes—without the headache of manually tracking files.

The update did not work! Had to re-install w/out

I downloaded and opened Turbotax and started my 2024 business return. The program recognized me and uploaded information from my prior year's return. After a few hours I exited TurboTax. The next day when I re-opened, I was prompted to update the software, which I did. After that, the program did not recognize me, did not recognize that I was filing a business return, and started asking me questions as if I was doing a personal return. After a frustrating hour trying to find and continue the return I'd just started the day before, I had to completely delete the software from my PC. I then downloaded and installed the 2024 software all over again, except this time when it prompted me to update it, I declined. I had to begin my 2024 all over again however -- similar to the day prior -- the program did recognize me, and had my prior information saved.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

It took 3 days to resolve 700001 errors and numerous software adjustments and file deletions on my part plus disarming my virus protection. But finally we prevailed.

I tried to work with the On-line version and it was terrible at best. Also support was incorrect in their response. So I had to download this software and it was better but had to start all over.

I am surprised how many times I need to enter name, address, phone, email after registering the software and attaching it to my Intuit account. When stepping through the guided process, there are numerous topics such as electing Section 179 depreciation or "safe harbors" for which even a single-sentence hint or link to the IRS web page covering that topic would be hugely helpful. I'm also surprised that, when the validation logic finds an error, that the field that must be corrected or over-ridden is not over-ridable without going back to the menu, and performing multiple steps for what should be a one-step process. It was also a pain in the butt to get TTAX to "see" the drive letters that are mapped to my SMB file server. When browsing for files it should show the same drives and folders that show up on file explorer, not require me to re-map an SMB share as a network drive. For the money and years that the product has been out I'd expect to see more integration and usability.
