Printing problems this year.
on May 26, 2025
Posted by: JillKR
I've been using Turbo Tax for years and this year was a bit of a headache. I saw in the online help that lots of people had trouble printing the return. Also, I was not able to print the 8453 as part of the e-filing. I had to go back into the return in order to save it as a pdf. Also, its aggravating that after all these years we are still not able to efile at least one state.

Problem with Adobe Acrobat
on May 27, 2025

There was a problem with printing. Every time I opted to print something Adobe Acrobat would present an error message stating that the file could not be opened. I had to find a "workaround" each time.

I have used TTB for both my federal and state taxes. When I do my state taxes, it still asks for my business ID. Should it not be bale to retireve from my prior records?

Turbo Tax is costing me a fortune in penalties.

I filed my original return by E-Filing on Feb. 22, 2025 and paid $463.00 to have Intuit file online with on-line help. On April 30, 2025 I received a letter from the state of Indiana DOR stating that I was being fined $500. for not filing form 49188 Schedule Composite that Intuit did not file. I completed all of the information that Intuit asked for and not I am being penalized because Intuit didn.t file it properly.

Turbo Tax makes no exceptions for lump sum capital gains. When a s $4,000,000.00 sale closes on 12-27-24, Turbo Tax penalized us $9,000.00 for not making a tax deposit for the sale 8 months prior to the sale.It took me hours to find the form and overide it. Last time I use it. I can do it on a spreadsheet faster.
Pros: I bought or sold investments
