Cannot file 1099-OID under 1041 form for trusts

I purchased TurboTax Business - Desktop specifically because I needed to file a trust tax return (Form 1041). One of the reporting forms I received was a 1099-OID. I spent hours on the phone with various support agents, both product and tax specialist, trying to figure out where entries for a 1099-OID can be made. The conclusion after six separate conversations is that I couldn't make those entries under a trust Form 1041 filing. I cannot be the only person who ever had taxable amounts on a 1099-OID for a trust. Additionally, even though I specified early on that I was filing for a trust, there were business-related questions that did not apply and I did not know how to answer. I realize this is a desktop product that is supposedly going to be moved (about 5 years too late, in my IT professional opinion) to an online product like TT for personal taxes, but the product is clunky and slow at times.

Strong push to online version; prefer desktop

Hard to renew/retrieve desktop version of software. All leads point to online version, however, i strongly prefer desktop version of software.

Estate/Trust needs download capability of 1099s.

Overall experience was great. However, it would be nice to be able to download 1099 information into the estate/trust portion of TurboTax Business so the 1041 can be e*filed. I have to print it and mail it because there are way too many entries on the 1099Bs to enter manually.

E-File Is Buggy

In general TurboTax Business - Desktop is easy to use. Uploading a PDF to e-file, however, was impossible. The Locate feature wouldn't show all folders nor all compatible file types. After trying several file types and lower resolutions, the files wouldn't show. I gave up and have to file by mail. Very inconvenient. What happened Intuit? This wasn't an issue in previous years.
