Bit clunky for doing a Trust's taxes, but worth it

This was the first time I have filed a return for the trust I administer. I have paid a preparer to file the past 2 years since the trust was created. I found the software a bit clunky and dated-looking, but it worked well. I had to search the internet to find out where to put information that was not asked in the step-by-step process, such as the income and withholding from a 1099-R. I finally found the wirhholding area after going to forms, then clicking links within the forms until I landed on the right worksheet. I'm finished, and it was worth the time, effort, and monetary savings to DIY this year.

TurboTax makes filing a lot less painful

I was disappointed that 1099s cannot be imported into TurboTax Business like TurboTax Deluxe is able to do. Also, many of the "jump to" buttons did not work as expected.

Turbo Tax Business for two annuities 1099

I have a Trust Fund Annuity forever paying two 1099. There is no 1099 in Business Tax ($ 180.00 ) making me work around to enter information. It took me 5 hours to put in 2 numbers. I keep asking you to fix it, but you don't. I also have the Deluxe version, and it would be better if you could add it to that one.

TurboTax lacks thoroughness, clarity, and order.

The questions are out of order from the actual return forms causing confusion, and a massive amount of time organizing my data so everything got entered. I had to go back and forth from the forms to the step by step. Questions and explanations were lacking in information. I had to use ChatGPT to figure out which expenses to enter in the right fields. TurboTax alone would have caused me to enter expenses in the wrong fields if I did not do my own research. Crazy hard to get a good result out of this product.

Do Your Taxes Effective, Efficiency, and Correctly

I have been using TurboTax for my personal taxes since its inception in the 1980s, as well as for my corporation since it was founded. Each year, my experience remains the same: I can complete my taxes quickly and efficiently, without any issues or obstacles. TurboTax is an excellent investment because it identifies all my eligible deductions and saves me a significant amount of time. Most importantly, I can trust that my taxes are completed accurately.

Turbotax for Business poor quality prevented efile

The software is okay, except there's no Mac version. It generated the forms just fine, but had inexplicable errors that prevented me from e-filing either the federal or state return and forced paper filing instead. Claimed "some values are too large and caused calculation errors" in a non-required estimated payments form. No way to fully delete the form or correct any values. Intuit's software just keeps getting worse and worse. AVOID!!!

Expensive for simple return.

didnt have state taxes and clearly would have failed to efile if my return was in anyway complex. Worked for me this time. Hence the title expensive for a simple return no efile if you have a complex one.
