First off, I use quickbooks for my C-Corp, and it brought me to turbotax online to file, I was halfway through the return when I did a livechat and was advised that I was required to use the desktop version for a C-Corp... Online doesn't tell you which form is being completed. the desktop app is really terrible, filing my 1120 for the first time was very difficult, and although there was someone I could call to assist me with an issue I was having balancing my reconciliation page, I was on the phone for over an hour and the end of the call was for me to start over entirely. Then I called a 2nd time where someone would not speak with me because they were insisting I was providing the wrong email address, even though I called regarding my business account, they were validating the account that is for my husbands business. Lastly, I am on day 2 of trying to submit to efile and it keeps bringing me back to the same page but will not tell me where there is an issue.

Not a lot of explanation or step by step like personal income tax Turbotax, it was a good thing I had the previous year's returns (prepared by a CPA) to refer to as things such as 199A and REITs were not supported in the step by step. Also errors in the narrative- refers in one spot to 2014 return when this is for the 2022 return. Needs a good proofreader. Guess I'll just live with the aggravation as the cost is about 1/4 that of the CPA prepared returns.

For an LLC that is electing to be taxed as a Subchapter S Corp, the guidance in the program is not clear. It forces a selection of one of the two up front, and the help section doesn't help.

No ability to import brokerage data. Standard TurboTax does this seamlessly.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

TurboTax is very flawed...

Overall using Turbotax has been a complete nightmare. First I bought the business edition, did my taxes, submitted, and got rejected. After some number of calls to the IRS and Intuit, I found that indeed I had filed as an S-Corp, when I am a C corp. Then I found the Turbotax business online only does S-Corps, and that I would have to get the App version. But the App online runs on Windows, and I am on Mac. What a total pain, so I found an old WIndows machine (with no email on it) and tried to install the App. It installed but when I ran it, it wanted some id number that I didn't have. The dlog said it was emailed to me, but the Windows machine didn't have email. After multiple support calls (actually very nice people) one person finally read it to me, and I was able to do the taxes. What a multi-day nightmare! All one the day before the deadline (by the time I had waded through multiple product purchases and products).
