You need to allow for import of 1099. Would save me having to print and mail. This is stupid at this point after 17 years of using your product

Not great handling 1099-R annuities and IRAs

I have used TurboTax for my individual and business returns for years and I am always satisfied, sometimes impressed. I needed to use this particular TT product to file a return for a trust created when a parent died. It was a simple return, with the only income being from 1099-INT bank interest and 1099-R annuity withdrawals. It seems crazy that TT doesn't have an online version to handle trust returns. I didn't need a desktop download capable of filing 5 business returns, but that is the only option. Additionally, it did not handle 1099-R input well. In fact, it never asked whether I had any 1099-R information to enter. I had to search the internet and TT chat groups to figure out a way to include the income and tax withholdings on the return. It was like stepping back decades in the functionality I have become accustomed to with TT. There should be a way to download 1099-R to the program as there is with other tax forms, and the program should know how to handle that information. 1099-R are very common for trusts, and there are complaints on the Intuit boards going back years about this very issue. After manually forcing the information into the forms, the rest of the process was good. In my case, I only had 3 tax documents to input, and only one of them was fully supported by the program. I expected better.

TurboTax Business Desktop

My taxes are complex and I am not an accountant. That being said, the "expert advice" was pointless. It was way over their heads. The software is set up nicely to see Forms or do step by step. Other than the extra help I paid for being useless, it was a great product.

It was not worth $190. UI was terrible. No integration with Quickbooks.

Good, but could be better

Had a very difficult time editing form 1116. Each time I reviewed the whole return it created a new foreign tax entry. Deleting the excess was quite difficult. When will you include the South Carolina forms? Have used Turbotax since 2013, and will continue to do so.

Please combo Business with Home&Business TurboTax!
on April 8, 2025

I think that TurboTax is great, in general. However, you are just double dipping by making us buy both the Home & Business and the Business editions of TT. Why not combine the S-Corp/Business with the personal Home & Business? We need to do both anyways, and the S-Corp/Business edition ends up being a catalyst for a lot of the personal... especially if you are in a smaller Sole-Proprietorship one person S-Corp/LLC business. If you would just do this, then you'd easily get a 5* rating from me!!

Turbotax for estates and trusts was not very good. Not like other turbotax products. Problems: *It is not bundled with personal products. There is a home & business package which doesn't include estates and trusts. For that you need business, but not home & business -- very confusing. *It doesn't even communicate with personal. For example, I can't issue a k-1 from business and have it read by home. *It doesn't include most states. *AFTER we reviewed federal and uploaded all signature documents and clicked efile, it did another review and made me go back. Why didn't it catch that at the review stage.
