Qualified Disability Trusts not included

Please fix the Turbo tax program so I can select a qualified disability trust and have your program apply the exemption of $ 5000 that exists for qualified disability trust. I had to manually do the taxes for the qualified disability trust for which I am trustee. Your program was useless for that.

TurboTax Personal is great, Business far from that

Software needs to be both Windows AND Mac OS compatible. For years have had to run Windows emulator via Parallels on my Mac. It's doable but not ideal. Even better, there shouldn't be a need for desktop downloaded software. Rather, there should be an additional web-based offering alongside desktop that allows users the option to choose.

Good but needs more help info.

Very helpful. I like the help with the K-1 Forms.
However, all of the "More Information" type of links, including the one that says "File Your State Taxes Now," default to the same TurboTax main page offering to sell me TurboTax, which I already own.
Also, at the end was a screen that said "Mail These Forms to the Government" but when I printed it, all I get is a cover sheet titled "Electronic Filing Instructions for your 2024 Federal Tax Returns." Am I supposed to mail that to "The Government," and if so, what address should I mail it to.

Turbox Business has errors that block e-filing

-- I opened a ticket in February for bug in TT Business for North Carolina which causes an error during review. When generating filing documents, a dialog box pops up stating you have error(s). This blocks e-filing my return. This ticket is over 6 weeks old without any feedback from TT.
-- NO RELEASE NOTES ARE AVAILABLE FOR CONSUMER VERSIONS. the Account/CPA versions have release notes.
-- The colors for fields in Forms Mode are not carried over to Interview mode. This is a very simple change but Intuit does not seem to care about it's customers

TurboTax is mostly great

Everything works as it should. Had no problems with filing the trust return. However, one possible error by TurboTax is that it did not ask for filing 8453F for my state return. It did make the 8453-FE form easy to attach to federal return.

If for Trust, do your homework...

This is a good product but for trusts, the questions can be lacking and additional info will not help you unless you are well versed in complex trusts. It will not give you guidance on potential ways to optimize tax rates. You MAY have this flexibility depending on distributions and the number of beneficiaries. I have used this product to do my trust return(s) for ten years.
