I did my business return with ease. Using Quickbooks and Turbotax is a great combo.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good Enough

Mixed experience. Form 1041 worked well enough because the return was simple. Two attempts to efile failed because of an unspecified "server problem". Third try 2 days later was successful, but it took a while so I was holding my breath. Form 1065 for our LLC can be clumsy. Entering basic income/expense is straightforward. Entering asset purchases, sales, and getting proper depreciation numbers can be hit and miss. I struggle with the balance sheet every year. No real help given in the program to figure out what is causing out of balance. In summary, I find TT Business has a much steeper learning curve than does TT Deluxe, for example.

The federal return was great. I had a lot of difficulty purchasing and downloading the Kansas portion of the return.

Lack of IMPORT creates 1099B rounding error
on March 31, 2025

I need to use TurboTax Business (in ADDITION to Deluxe) in order to file a Complex Trust. This year I had around 130 separate 1099-B Long Term gains/losses which include date acquired, date sold, cost basis, and proceeds from sales. TurboTax Business does not support IMPORT of these numbers, despite years of customer requests to provide this. After multiple hours I typed everything in, but the rounding error on that many smaller (monthly) municipal bond fund reinvestments resulted in a number that was tens of dollars different from my 1099-B Part II figure reported to the IRS. A successful IMPORT could take the actual value and ROUND it ONCE, avoiding this error in what I e-Filed.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Good but needs improvement

Difficult time fixing errors due to lack of specifics. Also payment options and links were hard to understand and get to, particularly after returns were filed.

Problem

Problem main it that when tried to e-File just ended up in a loop going from File to having to set up to e-File again. Also, number pad on keyboard did not work thus requiring me to use numbers at top of keyboard. First program to ever have that problem
