Still good, but help function non-existent!
on March 18, 2025

Love the product in and of itself. Have been using for years. Some areas are more clear and easier to follow for the non-accountant than in the past, but some still are not. One thing that has gotten SO MUCH WORSE is the Help function (or lack thereof)! Years ago, I could actually get answers to the questions inside the program that made sense. Now, the AI knows NOTHING and can't even answer the most basic questions. Always have to go to the internet to search and I might as well just Google it myself to get an answer - which I do. Good luck asking to find a section of the program to get to a certain area - i.e., vehicle expense. Used to have a jump to function in Help - now: You're on your own searching through the entire program!

Turbo Tax Business Worked Great!

Have been using Turbo Tax Business for 15+ years to file for a Trust. It usually works quite well. This year was no exception. Filing went very smoothly. Did not encounter bugs I did last year and any errors in filing were easy for me to handle. Enjoy using the product as it makes filing so much easier.

I have used turbo-tax business program for over 10 years. It is overall comprehensive; the short comings for me filing an LLC as a partnership is that it treats the LLC as a Limited Partnership and defaults most members to the General Partner/manager status vs. a member. This year in selling real estate property I combined the segregated depreciated items into one asset to keep the return simple, but the program would not accept the accumulated depreciation from previous years, it wanted to depreciate everything on 27.5 yrs, SL. This resulted in an "error" according to the program and I could not e-file. The other two business returns worked fine.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

Pushy Hard Selling Ruins the Experience

the reason for my 3 star rating is simply--the "hard sell". You can't even find where to DIY because its so small on the screen while they push their services in big letters. I spent over 15 minutes looking for the DIY button. Made me so angry I considered using a different product. But I love Turbotax and have used it for years. They have all my records so change would be very inconvenient. I did finally find the button and did it myself. I strongly suggest they resolve this issue

WORKS WELL FOR GOING ON 25 YEARS, BUT PRICEY

I have a VERY simple trust in which all income flows to my personal return on a K1, and the income stream is very simple. It would be nice not to have to pay $140 every year for the return to be completed. Otherwise, the program works well for my situation.
Pros: I bought or sold investments

As pleasant experience as one could hope for in doing business taxes. While still never confident I'm doing all I should be doing this product gives me hope that I'm at least doing the best I can.

Much better than the wed based version. Especially, if you don't like upload personal data into the cloud, Such as, SSNs, and EIN, and other PII of shareholder or members.

Great, but always have problems sending State

I'm very thankful for Intuit adding abilities to do S-Corp taxes so I don't have to use an accountant. Overall, very happy with Intuits offerings for Personal and Business. I only mention this so y'all can improve.
For the past two to three years, I have always had to print out and mail my Corporate State Taxes instead of Electronically Filing them due to the same error popping up about how a value should not be "0" but I cannot manually delete said number and no other value makes sense to have there. Feel free to look at the past few years of taxes, so you can figure out what is popping up as an error.
