OKLAHOMA business program is terrible. OKLA personal program is poor.
Federal business program is below expectations and seems to get worse every year.
Someday I will make the time to see if anything better is available. Hopefully before next year.

Mishandles Rental Expenses, TT Premier works right

I use TT Business because my wife and I have a two-owner LLC. The IRS requires (the dreaded) Form 1065 rather than Schedule E in this case. However, because I also use TurboTax Premier for my personal taxes, I started by entering all my rental information into TT Premier. Next, I entered the same information into TT Business. Then, I compared it to the results from TT Business. I found expenses needed to be reduced by the percent of personal usage and that TT Premier handled all those calculations. However, TT Business had *NOT* - it over reported the loss even though you enter both rental days and personal use days. Yes, the TT Business help states that you are to include only rental portion of expenses, but I did not know it was based on the rental days vs personal use days. TT Business ASSUMES you know what to do. For the price, I expect the same level of program support in Business as is found in Premier.

Using TurboTax Business for the first time was an absolute nightmare. The software constantly required me to enter the same data multiple times just to review my work. It also kept asking for unnecessary inputs, making the process even more frustrating. The interface is clunky, and navigating through the forms is far from intuitive. Overall, it’s a poorly designed product that made filing more difficult than it needed to be. I expected a smoother experience, but instead, I wasted hours fighting with this software. Would not recommend!
