Too much entering of same info!

Have to input same data many times. Name, address, etc. Once entered the software should be smart enough to use it everywhere else. Have to recopy a lot of information that should have been copied from last years return. Email is asked for many, many times, when it doesn't change from one place to another. Should be automatically entered with option to change.

i love to use TurboTax for several reasons: it allows me to import last years taxes, it explains as you go along, I used the Forms and Step-by-Step options to find things quickly, and it loads on my laptop so I can find it easily.

You need a Mac based offering

I appreciate your software and have no difficulty using it; however, your limitation of providing only Windows based products for TT for Business has me looking to move elsewhere for next year. I maintain a decade old machine for the single use of your product and I'm sick to death of the waste of time and effort it requires.

Still waiting for something better to come along

Like all Intuit products, it feels like nobody is even trying to make improvements. I have dozens of pages of notes that I use to complete my S-Corp taxes each year to compensate for the lack of intuitiveness of the product. I was again under impressed this year when TurboTax didn't even try to prepare my Utah K-1 properly. I'm glad I checked it closely and noticed that it failed to carry over a $30k tax credit to my Utah Schedule K-1s (line 18, code AP).

Way too difficult to find the 1120S software on your website without all the add-ons that I did NOT want.

Problem with Electronic Filing in Wisconsin

Problem with Electronic Filing in Wisconsin - Form 5S, Part I, Line 23, Page 2
I believe there is an error in the Wisconsin State 5S form for use by Wisconsin Subchapter S corporations. This error prevents me from being able to file the return electronically. This happened to me last year, and again this year. Last year I had to obtain a waiver from the Wis Dept of Revenue to file hard-copy by mail, which I did, but they lost my return and accused me of not filing it. This was eventually corrected. To prevent this from happening again, here's what I did: Form 5S, Part I, Line 23, Page 2 pulls a number form the Federal Form 1120S. If this number is negative, you cannot file electronically in Wisconsin. NOTE that the text description for Line 23 asks for "gross receipts" which, by definition, has to be a positive number, whereas Part II, Line 20, page 3 calculates "gross income". Gross *receipts* and gross *income* are not the same thing, but the Wisconsin TurboTax form uses the same number (at least, in my case, it does). Anyway. Not sure if this is a Wisconsin problem or a TurboTax problem.
My solution was to override the value in Part I, Line 23, Page 2 by adding all *receipts* (that is, positive numbers) listed in Part II, Schedule 5K, lines 4, 5, and 8 (in my case), ignoring the negative number in line 1. I also attached lengthy explanation to my tax return as "Additional Information". We'll see if this works.
