Good Program but Very Expensive

This was my first time doing an estate tax return (my parents very small estate). It was not difficult and what I did not understand , it was fairly easy to find the right answer. My biggest complaint is the cost. This is a very expensive program. It was $171 for Fed and $55 for the state. The personal versions of Turbo tax are a much better deal and they are on "sale" sort of at the beginning of tax season. I wish they had a smaller version for less cost.

Error 2, paid same state form twice

Did not work using brand new windows 11 professional computer. Had "Error 2" unable to fix. Ended up filing on old Windows 10 computer but had to pay state filing form twice, then file kept having another error in unable to open state file after pay it twice, and yet again had problem opening the TurboTax file that was created with the Windows 11 computer. Finally, was able to file using window 10 computer. Used TurboTax past few years for business filing. Will probably consider using competitor next time.

1065 Desktop Review - no KS K-120S efile option

In general the 1065 was easy to follow and understand. Please provide the option to e-file Kansas K-120S tax return. Or did I miss something. Checked support and found information regarding e-file issues regarding a couple other states, but nothing regarding Kansas.

State program is not usefule

Unable to e-file state forms which are very easy to complete using federal information. This information is not provided until after you purchase the state for $55 and go to file. Federal is very easy once you complete the first year.

Generally pretty good but I have used it in forms mode for years. In the step-by-step mode, its non functional for a Farm Trust.
