TurboTax Business makes it possible 2 self prepare

This was my first year using TurboTax Business after my accountant of 20 years retired. I was surprised and very happy to discover how straightforward and easy to approach the platform is and how it did a GREAT job of pointing me at details I needed to review. I will be using it from now on!

Manageable for DIY

Pages for corrections are confusing and hard to navigate. All other pieces are self-explanatory and well-organized. I like that I can go back at any point. Disappointed that it wasn't easier to transfer previous year's return or information from Quickbooks online

Disappointing
The software would not import from my version of Quickbooks - Quickbooks Pro 2022
The software would not allow an efile due to some undiscoverable or uncorrectable (1) error (possibly an amount which the software at some point inserted into the return and would be overidden)
An override of this same error worked in past versions

DON'T BELIEVE TT IF ABOUT ELECTRONIC FILING STATE

TT was OK on the Federal 1120S. I'm furious however that they do not provide electronically filing of my Iowa return when the state of IA requires an electronic filing or the return will be disregarded. Because I had this problem last year, I called before starting my TT Business returns AND WAS ASSURED BY TT THAT I COULD FILE ELECTRONICALLY. FRAUD!!! I have wasted many hours on this for nothing and I'm sure all I will get from TT is a shrug and refund of my state fee.

Fabulous federal but lousy state tax return softwa

Intuit/Turbotax, as in the last 20 years, does a fabulous job for federal tax return and such a lousy job for state tax return that they should be paying the users, not the other way. Shameful So many lapses that I got the sense that they were too lazy or insensitive to read the tax regulations and rules to incorporate them into the software
