Lack of 1099-R entry on a 1041 for a Trust

I wish that Turbo Tax would fix the software, where you cannot enter a 1099-R and have it distributed correctly for 1041 estate and trusts. While you have some alumni that help....it's a huge time suck to have to research all the help blogs. It should be available in Turbo Tax already! First year I have been very disappointed in Turbo Tax. I've been using it for over 15 years. Having to deal with a different Trust issue should have been as easy as normal!

Better to use a CPA to prepare return than TurboTa

I had lots of problems with Form 2220 and had to prepare and calculate parts of it by hand.

Better than prior years. The pre-file error check actually worked this time and the program didn't ask me to correct a bunch of items after I clicked the button to e-file the return.

Deceptive Business Practice from TurboTax

I started my review using the online version of TurboTax for our multi-member LLC. 2024 was the first year I was able to do my return online. In the past we had to download the desktop version to a PC (no valid Mac version available) for about $180. It wasn't until I was at the filing step of the online version that I learned it would be close to $600. What??! I did all the work and TurboTax wanted to charge me this much to file my taxes. I had to download the desktop version (for $190) and start over. They should have let me know the charge before getting to the end of the online version. I think it's deceptive and borderline unethical to try to hook people in, figuring that if someone does all the work to process their return, they'll just pay for this full service, which the only option. Very poor form on behalf of TurboTax

I didn't like not being able to complete my Ohio state taxes with your program. There was no indication that I would not be able to complete the state portion when I purchased your program. I expect relief.

Love being able to switch to FORMS or StepbyStep

2025 - Really like the ability to switch from 'Step-by-Step' to 'Forms'.
Only issue was, with Shareholder Distributions, StepbyStep entry figure, did not seem to carry to the K-1 Schedule. I had to go to all the K-1's to edit the figure, but could not find the one that the StepbyStep had a figure locked in? So went back to stepbystep to edit that number.
