No importation

i expected to be able to import my securites 1099. I only learned as I did it that this feature is not included on Business. I wanted the accuracy and ease of importing. WHY? Otherwise, usual high quality.

Turbo tax ok with issues

Turbo Tax 2024 was not able to view my previous years tax return. The message said it was corrupted. This seems to happen very often and is very frustrating. Why would a tax file sitting on my pc for a year all of a sudden be corrupted. I even tried opening with TT 2023. If this is a bug, please fix it.

Forms do not coordinate as they should

Each year TurboTax works less easily than it did the year before. The tools for recording Capital Gains do not coordinate with each other. I used the online Chat Room to get some help, but it was impossible to remove blank form and took proofreading and redoing repeatedly to confirm that the return was accurate.

I wish I would of used Turbo Tax instead of my accountant for the past several years. Their resources are amazing and the accountants you can call and talk to are very knowledgeable.

Turbotax makes you overpay taxes

I had used Desktop version for 2023 business taxed. While doing 2024 taxes, I just found out that I need not have paid $800 california LLC tax for my LLC since it was formed in 2023 when AB85 was in effect. I would have expected Turbotax to take care of this! Will not be recommending this software to anyone, nor will I be using this for any other business tax uses anymore.

Today's TurboTax adventure

Three attempts today with live Turbo Tax consultants:
The first was unable provide directions to connect to my computer screen
The second connected to my screen but had no idea what to do with the error screen that I was supposed to correct; I asked to be transferred to a tax expert to answer the question. After five minutes of silence, she hung up the phone
The third consultant discussed the puzzling screen with me and together we came up with a potential solution for information required, and it worked. Kudos to consultant #3
