Delta 2

I've bought battery for a whole home backup. I started with Bluetti EB70 and soon faced lack of capacity so decided to move to Delta 2.
It was surprisingly to get only 200Wh extra capacity "on paper" and actually get 2x times more longer working time for appliances. Also you'he possibility to extent capasity 2 or 3 times with extra beaateries as well.
Also a big plus of Delta 2 is interesting feature - if I plug something that needs more power than Delta 2 can output - it will still work at maximun output. So you still can use your applience (not in full power but still).
As a small improvement I can suggest integrate small lamp into battery. Usually it's really hard to plug socket in darkness so small light may be very useful.
P.S. It also has more comfortable sitting place for my cat.

I received my EcoFlow Delta 2 yesterday and quickly unpacked, downloaded the app, and hooked up to my new EcoFlow Solar Panel. It all works great. This will allow my wife and I to have much more flexibility with off grid camping with our roof-top tent and planned fridge purchase. It was great to see there are ongoing firmware updates too. I expect many great adventures in the future, supported by the EcoFlow Delta 2.

Great Product, Comparable Price

We live in a small town on the northern US border and experience somewhat frequent, short power outages. We picked up the DELTA2 + 220W Portable Solar Panel to have some peace of mind. While we own a multi-fuel generator, that doesn't always feel worth it when power is expected to be restored within hours. This DELTA 2 gives an easy to use, dependable middle ground for emergency power that covers us in shorter situations. We love that the power source can be easily repurposed for car use or camping with far less weight/noise than a generator. I can't speak to how this compares with other competing products but so far we are enjoying the peace of mind and ease of use. As we expand our battery systems we will come back to this manufacturer and product line.

I purchased the Delta 2 combo with the 220 watt bi-facial solar panel a few months ago and so far it has worked well for all my needs. I chose the Delta 2 because of its lighter weight and higher number of performance cycles over the original Delta that boasts a higher charge efficiency. It got its first workout as an EPS to back up the bilge-heater I have in an older boat to protect the engines from freezing. It provided good peace of mind during the Bomb Cyclone back in December, 2022 when temperatures plunged into the single digits where we live. There is a feature on the EcoFlow App under Lab Features that does need to be set to “AC always on” to use effectively.
Currently the Delta 2 is earning its keep, building out a small cabin that will be off the grid. Its first day of use was to provide lighting for installing the floor and running a power jig saw to cut the flooring for an afternoon. The Delta 2 was still at 85% battery once we got done five hours later. At this point, I think it will see lots of use!

Great for power outages and road trips

We live in an area with above ground power lines and outages occur after windy storms etc. We needed a generator to keep our fridge cool and have a backup power source to make the outages less of a concern. I did lots of
research for gas generators but wasn’t happy about having to maintain them, go outside to start it, and run extension cords through the door or windows. Enter the Ecoflow! Although it won’t run as long as a gas generator, it’s so much more useful. The Delta2 is no bigger than a toaster oven and is light enough to carry with one hand. We have used it in the car for powering AC devices and otherwise keep it on the workbench where it’s ready for home backup. I prefer the battery chemistry in the Delta 2 and hope it will last longer then a traditional lithium ion pack.
One feature I hope could be provided via software- it would help to be able to manage not just the AC charging speed, but be able to put it into a long term maintenance mode. I find that it continually uses power when plugged in and left on. It would be nice to have a storage mode where it only charges up if the storage drops below a threshold.

Perfect for our application

I needed to get basic power for lights into a shed that had no electrical hookup available. I have tried many battery powered lights, that just didn't cut it. They would die or were just not bright enough. I decided to try a Delta 2 and 2-100 watt solar panels to recharge the battery. I was only able to mount the panels on the east slope of the roof, but it has held the charge. I am in Ohio where it gets too cold and keeps the battery from charging when it gets too cold, so we have had several days where we weren't charging because the shed was too cold. I still have not run out of power for the 100' ten light strand I hung up. This setup is an expensive fix, but it has proved itself to work even through our cold, gray Ohio winter.

Major upgrade from our old setup!

I purchased several of these to run scientific equipment in a backcountry setting. We used to have to lug heavy deep-cycle lead acid batteries around which weighed three times as much and hold half the power. They also took a full 24 hours to charge, but the EcoFlow Delta charges in an hour or two. Such an improvement to our setup, can't imagine going back!

I purchased the Delta 2 over the Delta 1 due to the expected longevity of the newer battery. I wanted something that I could take in my RV(without having a permanent install) and use as a power outage source to run a refrigerator through the night instead of a loud generator. It is amazing that you get 1000 watts of power, an MPPT controller, inverter, and a lightning fast charge time.
The Delta 2 really shined during RV dry camping. I made a 200 watt solar briefcase out of two HQST panels from amazon and pvc piping for legs so I can place the panels in direct sunlight and track the sun position. I found the app super useful in monitoring the incoming and outcoming power. You learn what the power draws from each device is and can tailor the charging to maximize the collected power. I knew that my coffee pot and grinder needed 30% of the charge capacity so I always made sure I had that reserve in the morning. And the Delta's ability to run AC devices was amazing. My wife can run her hair dryer and doesn't have to sacrifice that for dry camping anymore. As the Delta charged during the day I plugged the trailer in to send the collected energy to the rv battery (actually by just turning the AC outputs on with the app), once the rv battery was back to 100 percent I was able to turn the refrigerator from propane to electric as needed until the sun light started to diminish.
I found the Ecoflow Delta 2 to be super versatile and amazing value for an all-in-one system. The only two things I was left wanting was to run a 700w heater through the night and my air conditioning. But, having those features would require a much larger unit and I like the portability of the existing system.
