Description is deceptive/addl fees to file State

You would think when you pay extra for the "premium" software and the description says "free state" that you could actually fike the state for free until you go to file it electronically and you are charged additional costs. Disappointed that this is not mentioned up front.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I was unable to update prior to submission. Tried the fixes recommended by HR. Eventually the file was sent and accepted by IRS, but I have no way of knowing whether or not it had the latest updates. would like someone to check.

H&R Block Small Business Owners software does a good job. I did not give it a 5 Star rating because it was unable to electronically file my return which included an LLC that owned 50% of another LLC. So I had to mail it in. Not a big deal.
I don't think that I could do my taxes anymore without this software.
Pros: Easy to prepare
I would recommend this to a friend!

I had a few software issues this year and I didnt file till 3/13. Software didnt import alll information from previous years properly, so I had a few figures that I was stumped about and had to research to find out where I got them, but once I did all went well. WATCH THE ALIMONY check box, new rules went into effect and the software doesnt correct this for you if you had this in previous years.
Pros: Easy to prepare

The business filing did not work on my computer. I still have Windows 7 Professional. The personal tax program worked, but not the business. I finally had to buy Turbo Tax Professional in order to complete my taxes in time. Did a fine job with my personal taxes on H&R Block, which doesn't make sense because it is all included in the same software. Just cost me $100 more to purchase an extra program in order to file my business taxes. When I purchased in November, the Windows was not an issue.

Worst program ever. Not intuitive. All kinds of problems. Had to goto form and find out what was going on. Kept reloading. Wouldnt send until state had updated. Took forever
