This is about my 10th year since switching to H&R Block. The software used to have a few problems for the more complicated transactions (such as figuring out if I would get an AMT refund from previous years). However, these sorts of things are now very simple. I also really like the explanations you can bring up on the screen. This is a great product.

I have been using H&R Premium for a few years and it is a great program for rental property. They have excellent customer service. The "import last years data" really saves so much time.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import

I use h&r block every year. I have 2 rental properties and I just plug in all my numbers and the software does all the figuring. They grab numbers from previous years that I need. If I'm stuck the online help is so easy to understand. Once I did email a question and they emailed and called back to make sure I had the answer I needed.

Very easy navigation prevents operator error. The program won't let you make a mistake or miss a deduction.

Problem with state taxes

I got the federal all right without too much hassle. Had a problem with the state with one form. Was unable to correct the form within the program. I had to print and mail. Could not efile.
Cons: Hard to fix issues
