the software did not work well for me. i think my business is too simple for the program. i had to file by paper because i could not clear all errors. fortunately, i have closed my business and will not have to file again

Been using this software for thirty years, That is longer than Block has owned the company. This year they never fixed the import last years data problem. The import records part was buggy. The software also failed to credit one of my estimated tax payments to the figure your penalty part.
In short this year was a disaster and next year I will buy or use something else.

I've been using hrblock for several years without any issues. This year, my federal e-file went through without a problem. However, the state got rejected. The error return code was worthless and I could not find an issue with my return. Hrblock's "fix" was to print and mail my return. Kind of defeats the purpose of e-filing.

ex IT guy here. No I did not contact your tech support. Used your product last 10 years on Windows 10 and loved it. Installed on Windows 11 and it constantly would lock up. Would NOT import last years returns, business or personal returns. Would crash when I created new returns. Filled out returns on my older win10 box with success.

Cons: Hard to import documents

I switched to H&R Block software a number of years ago. I have been quite happy with their ease of use and capabilities to walk me through the process. The additonal capability to import all my data from existing accounts at my broker, with an individual quality control check makes it very simple to do taxes.
Only downside is that they don't make the Premium & Business software available in the Mac environment...
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents, Fast
