I have been purchasing and using H&R Block Premium and Business software for 25 years (started when it was still TaxCut Brand). For my 2024 taxes, this was the first time I encountered a problem. The software did not know what to do with Box 11.A other Income and Box 13.AE other deductions from a Form 1065 Sch. K-1 report. Told me I would have to figure out where to put the two items, and then enter them manually. When I did, I was told I could not efile because of this problem.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Maximizes refund, Fast
Cons: Hard to import documents
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Business software is terrible especially this 2024 year. Every year is glitchy this year was the worst. The premium software for personal returns was great it’s too bad that the business software can’t be as good

I kept having problems. Clicked on the link to file electronically and I thought it was done, but i never got an acknowledgement from the irs. So a few days later, I did it again. That time I got a federal acknowledgement but no state. So a couple of days later, I repeated the state efile. I still don't have an acknowledgement, even though I have have been charged. I was charged for the state return even though I was eligible for the free file and entered the code.

Upgraded version this year given inheritance. Disappointed in lack of guidance on k-1. Software walked me through it, seemed logical - however would not let me close out and transmit to IRS stating only couldn't be done with one of the values in my tax return from that form - no explanation at all of why. Spent a lot of time researching on my own and not sure did it correctly.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

From the very beginning the program didn't work right. It said it need to close due to errors. Then it wouldn't reopen. I called several times and had an agent walk me through steps so I could reopen the program. The first time it worked, I had finished my taxes, printed out one business, then when I went to print out the second one it closed again and wouldn't reopen, the second agent didn't know what she was doing and kept skipping steps and my program finally opened, but all my saved taxes were gone! I had to redo all that businesses taxes!
