I have been using H&R Block software for years and it is always so easy to install and use. I can usually find answers to all my questions and file with no problem.

I am not overly happy with some of the changes to the way the software handles the tax information (the way it has us enter it). However, I also know that over time the laws change, and the software has to update to keep up with the new changes. I just wish we could use the same interface as like 2020 offered, just with the new filing rules. Overall, it is still the best way to file taxes...

I purchased the software in January 2025. I have purchased H&R Premium and Business every year for more than a decade using the same computer. This year's version has been my worst experience. I had alot of problems trying to install the software. I spent most of one day loading the software to were I could start the interviews. Even when I was able to open the programs I had multiple crashes. The Business program had the most crashes. It took 2 days to get through the issues. When doing doing the Virginia Business tax I keep getting errors even when I make accurate corrections. The software wouldn't accept the corrections to where I could e-file. I got so fustrated that I gave up and went to the Virginia site and inputed the same information. I complete and e-filed my Business state return in less than 30 minutes.

I went to up date the business tax software and the update wiped out and deleted the software I had installed. I had to re-install it and then re-enter all the business tax return information. WATCH your credit card statement. I went to efile my personal return and clicked file accepting a charge. I got an error message (buggy software). I then had to go back into the the personal return and resubmit - this time it efile was successful. BUT my credit card was charged twice for one efile. I will be disputing the charge with my credit card company. WATCH OUT!
