bought and works great for individual taxes. Does absolutely nothing to help with filing and trust or estate forms. You are looking up the regs online as you use this software. do not get for trust or estate.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare

Business features are in a separate app that seems to be stuck in the 1990s, given its clunky interface. The main program is OK, but the only reason I keep using it and haven’t switched to something else is that I’m used to its quirks.

Takes much too long to add additional forms once finalized by the IRS, sometimes 3-4 weeks after finalized. Additionally not all state forms are included. I had to go to the state website, download form and manually fill it out in order to include in my mailed submission. Electronic filing for state not an option due to taking solar tax credit and required forms not included in the program.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Tax ode is too complicated - needed a CPA anyway

Tried to use this for our two small businesses. Our CPA turned my one page spreadsheet for a rental property into 42 pages for the IRS. Will stick to using the basic to organize our personal tax information and let her handle the businesses.

I am disappointed in the lack of correction in the CT Tax return. Every year I complete it in Block and then do it with the State and get several hundred $$ more in return. There is a problem in your calculation for Social Security. This may be the last year I use Block. I also do a trust and you have no way of putting the Code I from the trust in the regular tax return. I have to override the amount because I know where it goes, but then I can't file electronically. This seems to be a problem only with BLOCK. TURBOTAX does not seem to have this problem.
Cons: Doesn't maximize refund
