Expectations were met, but consider my expectations for HR Block tax software is high - expecting flawless execution and tax deductions. No tax software is perfect, but in my case as an Independent Consultant (1099), this software covered 98% of my needs. Had to dig a little into the tax code, but a bit of that is always expected with the ever changing tax laws.

Sorry this wasn't a good filing year using your software. Had numerous problems with the doing and filing the Form 1041 as it couldn't be accepted by the IRS. Similar problems with one of the 1040 returns - had to end up mailing them instead of electric filing.
I have used H&R for years this is my first year with all the problems.

Great home tax preparation software

I like HR Block tax prep software for the home because it is easy to use and you can navigate quickly between forms. It has improved vastly since I first began using it 15 years ago. The Business software is not as user friendly as the home portion.
Pros: Easy to install, Easy to fix issues, Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Hard to import

This software works very well for someone with an S-Corp. The personal returns seem a bit easier to prepare than the S-Corp but it's all good. It saves me so much time!
