The business software I have to use to do a 1041 trust filing is not particularly user friendly. Unlike the personal 1040 software it has very few user prompts, but rather drops you into the forms to complete.
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

As a retired Income tax CPA professional I purchased HR Block because it was relatively cheap for the the software. I formerly used CCH tax professional software for my practice but the cost of the CCH software didn't make sense for my own personal tax return which includes Sch C,D,F, and E. I thought the HR block software was OK, but it took me a little while to learn it, since I knew where I wanted to go with the IRS various forms.
Pros: Fast
Cons: Time consuming
