I have been a user of H&R Block desktop tax software for over 25 years. Since the company moved to downloading the software instead of the disk, the process has not been very smooth. I have experienced issues with the downloading process every year ranging from not being able to download to the program having application errors.
Pros: Easy to prepare
Cons: Hard to import documents

Used for over 10 years now. Each year is a struggle. HR Block picks up previous years return and goes from there. I am pleased overall with results, but would love more help with planning for next year as tax code changes, would love a mid year accessment and planning update.

This year's breakdown of the efile system on tax day, however, has me thinking of switching next year. I had to take the day off of work to get everything printed and mailed on time.
