I have been using Block for years. The Vermont section gets better. This year the fixed a bug from 2022 on a poorly designed (by the state) form; the homestead declaration.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents

It’s clear this is product is early in its development. There are many usability issues. Chief among them the inability change font size. When using with a notebook pc with high res monitor the font is too small to read without issues. also Navigation is clunky. Particularly when you want to go back to change something or review your entries.
Pros: Easy to import documents

This is the third year in a row that I have bought this package. I am disappointed that the previous year's data is not copied over to the current year like your other software packages, resulting in a lot of manual input by me.

Covers most what is needed but not user friendly

I have been using this for the last 5 years and it works. It is not user friendly and it needs to support Mac which I use predominantly. I may try Turbotax next year.

I started a business in 2023 so I bought the premium plus business. It was not helpful. I have no idea why I would use the separate "Business" program. I used the feature to help make Q1 payment - it was confusing and provided no help whatsoever. I still don't know why I would choose the Safe Harbor or Zero Balance option - explanation was useless.

The H&R Block software is no doubt a wonderful aid in preparing tax returns. The program is powerful, but has a steep learning curve. It could be a bit more user friendly for the common person. Completing a form 1041 is tedious with challenging technical jargon. Maybe it is designed more for accountants.
