Easy to buy and install. Been using HRB for a long time and it's good it remains unchanged and consistent. A few buggy things noted. Some difficulty finding help with more advanced forms like K-1's. Program crashed at the end when submitting and transmitting returns. I had to update and re-enter data to complete returns. I was charge twice for state return and will request refund.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Easy to import documents
Cons: Time consuming
I would recommend this to a friend!

Was it E-filed or Not!?!?

I've used HRBlock tax program to prepare my federal income tax for more than 15 yrs. This year when I e-filed my Fed tax, I received several messages that the submission was unsuccessful and couldn't connect with your servers. I tried 7 times and the failure messages were the same. I printed the forms and prepared to mail it on Mon Apr 15th. While looking at my emails on my phone I read 2 messages from HRB that the submission was successful, and that the IRS had accepted my return!!! Which message is correct? Which message should I believe and why is there a discrepancy?
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

H&R Block Business plus Premium needs improvement. It requires a specific resolution and screen size rather than adapting to fit the screens customers use. This means that items may be hidden off screen or too small for some users to read. This could cause some customers to make errors in their filings. Business could be improved by offering support for creating 1099s and 1096. Being able to submit these electroncially to the IRS would benefit many businesses who are now required to file forms electronically. The state programs are often incomplete. Block fails to include many forms. This means that the program does not include automatic calculations for absent forms. Opportunities for improvement include adding ADA accessibility features,, including all state forms, adapting to the screen size and resolution customers use. The look and feel is antiquated. Finally, Block should consider negotiating iwth states to have states pay for e-filing state taxes. It benefits the states. To do this, the state programs need to include all necessary forms. Anything marketed for business should be fully ADA compliant to avoid placing businesses at risk of being noncolmpliant. Finally, as businesses decentralize and include remote employees, it would be helpful to have an edition that would include all 50 states. I have used Block for over a decade. The graphic user interface has not kept up with changing technology. Some people may like the legacy interface, and that could be listed as an option. However, many expect and prefer software taht uses the capabilities of updated hardware.
