I have a small LLC for my farm, instead of paying a CPA to keep up with it I can do it myself. It may be good for larger companies but for sure it is perfect for rentals, small businesses and LLC’s. I paid for my first years return being prepared and it cost more for one year than I have in 8 years of this software. As a bonus it comes with stage and federal for individuals. I do both business and personal taxes with one purchase.

The business part of the business and premium pack is not very user friendly. It is very difficult to use and often generates errors that cannot be fixed. After several hours trying to fix errors so that I could e-file my Federal and State taxes on my S-Corp, I gave up and printed them so that they could be mailed. I had errors that had so little description that it was impossible to even to determine what field had error / missing information.
Pros: Easy to import documents
Cons: Hard to prepare

The personal tax portion works very well. Easily walks you through the necessary steps and catches any errors. Loads last year's data easily, which makes entries straightforward. On the business side, the entry process has improved significantly over the last five years, but transferring data from the previous year is not intuitive and doesn't happen automatically. Despite that, it generates the needed forms accurately. I use it for Schedule C, payroll and partnership returns.
