Partnership questions based on receiving a K 1 from another partnership are vague. It would be better if the questions asked were tied directly to the numbers reported on the K1 received from another partnership and where to enter them.
Excellent concept but there are other business software apps that are better (more user friendly), but a little more expensive. If the platform was more similar to the personal prep (1040) software, it would be a better product. Plus it would be a plus if the software was more compatible with windows: on Windows updates, Windows gives warnings that the H&R software is "potentially dangerous" and sometimes saved work becomes inaccessible. I don't know exactly why this occurs, but I've seen on on several computers.
Pros: Maximizes refund
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to prepare, Hard to import documents
I use the business just to be able to do 1041's for Trust Accounts. Runs on PC only which is not ideal for me as a Mac user. Next year I can revert to the Mac version and get rid of Windows. I did six returns this year.
The program works well. It guides you through each subject and allows you time to gather additional data. The wait time for help was long. It worked through the selling of my home, but it didn’t have “Buying a Home” in the program.
Preparer needs extensive tax knowledge to properly prepare Forms and return fairly easy to find and move around in Found all forms I needed for Partnership and Personal Return Have been using Premium for 5 years
Good product I just wish that you still offer the CD as I'm old fashion and prefer to have the CD. Some of the questions are not super clear but I manage to get around well the software.
