Easily the BEST HOME Tax Prep Software

I've used many software programs over the years to help people do their taxes (I'm a retired accountant), and hands down, Block's at home program is far superior to any other on the market. Takes a fraction of the time to do the prep work and it is very user friendly. I cannot say the same for Intuit's product.

Premium and Business comes as 2 separate packages. The Regular package is great have been using for many years now and I just need to import data from last year's for it to populate the current software. Very useful and simple. The Business package is not so easy to work with. I changed computers this year and the program would not allow me to transfer date from my old computer. I had to manually enter it all again. There are no interview questions. It is very antiquated for the form I need which is 1120H. The business side is way behind the premium.
Pros: Easy to prepare, Fast
Cons: Time consuming, Hard to import documents

More Intuitive than Ever

This is my fourth year using this product. Over that time the software has shown consistent improvement in its intuitive interface with the customer. This year was a significant step up. The software "speaks" your language and uses terms and definitions not requiring an MBA or accountant to decipher.

I'm an accountant and I'm having a hard time with the business partnership section. It's very confusing. The progression of the schedules is not the way I would do it. I can't keep track of what has been entered and what hasn't. This would be a nightmare for a novice.
Cons: Hard to prepare
